When I begin to write an essay, brainstorming is the first thing
that comes to mind. I write down all of my thoughts dealing with that
particular topic I am writing about. I usually make lists and categorize my
thoughts so when I am done, I can put my thoughts in order. Brainstorming helps
me with my thesis, which I believe, is the foundation of an essay. Prewriting
is very essential to me when developing an essay. It allows me to see what I
need to include and remove from my essay. These techniques are essential
because they have helped develop me into a better writer.
